On Twitter, I’ve often been asked to recommend some books. Of course, there are innumerable books to be recommended, both classical and modern, and it becomes even more complex when you don’t narrow a potential list on the basis of a subject. So instead of general recommendations, I concentrated on a topic particularly relevant today: Islam and modernity, that is, a critical approach to modernity from a Muslim perspective.
